I just changed my motherboard which was a PCChips board for an ABIT, SH6.
I am trying to get the drivers to reload, but can't get Windows 98 to see the CD ROM.
The BIOS sees the CD ROM with no problem.
Infact, if I try to install Windows 98 from a boot floppy, in the DOS window I can access the CD ROM. Inthis case, though I can't see the C drive.
So in summary - Dos = CDROM but no HDD
and Win98 = HDD but no CDROM.
The latter case makes it impossible to laod new drivers, since the drivers came on a CD-ROM. When I select "browse", there is no CD ROM.
Anyone got any ideas of something to check?
