linksys error

I have one of those 4 port routers that allows everyone to use 1 internet connection. Heres the problem. I had it since Feb, and its worked perfectly the past few months. Then I installed an Air conditiioner in my room and the power in my room went dead. I'm guessing the PC eats up lots of power. After restoring power I found that the diag led never shuts off and now the router is dead. Its connected to a power surge protector, so I'm wondering why its dead. The linksys guy told me its a hardware related error with the flash mem. Anyone have ideas?

Have you tried to re-flash the chip on the router? That should work, sounds like you might of corrupted the flash memory.

Yes, I tried to reflash the memory, however it says unable to communicate to server. I think its dead.

Time to RMA it!

But have you tried to reset it? What happens when you do if you have tried?

I tried reseting it but nothing happens.
