Can anyone tell me how much DOS I need to be a PC tech? and is alot of it covered in the A+ exams? thnks

I think it's only a few hours instruction, but figure double that in labs. Basically, you need to read about it and be able to use it to truly understand it.

ok thnks,,,, do u know a good place on the web that teaches DOS and that is interactive ? I try things out of the A + books on my DOS screen but it doesnt always work rite

A search on google for dos tutors should produce quite a bit. As far as windows is concerned theres not that much to learn, mostly what you'd need to work off a bootdisk plus windows help should have some info as well such as commands to run with switches.

the best way to learn is to buy dos 6.22, as well as it's manual :eek: hughe. Get the cheapest pc, and practice on it. :)
