Is there any software that can stop Opera/IE from opening popup windows?
Darn, I get really annoyed after so many windows opened at the same time and I have to individually close them one by one.

For Opera and Netscape, it's simple : disable Javascript. I don't know how to do it in IE.

check out this page from hotfiles. there a number of progies that do this. havent used any though. link didnt work.

goto www.hotfiles.com (http://www.hotfiles.com) and search for popup killer.

www.analogx.com (http://www.analogx.com) download POW it does just what you want. (Kinda, it closes the window the second it loads) I'm using it right now. and its FREE

some auto popup killers can cut off more than you want, i use adsoff, you can customize it to accept certain popups that you need, stop .gifs after one cycle, makes surfing alot better. google and you'll find it http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Lots of sites besides porn sites have pop ups now. amazon.com seems to, compubuzz.com does any non-paying ezboard does (I spend a lot of time on ezboards 2 in particular)

Bah my venerable dallasnews.com has restorted to the x10 camera add popups. Downloading program now.
