Most CD-Rs I have had do not hold up well. The reflective coating is not protected at all and peels and chips off.
Does anyone make more durable disks?

Swordfish 07-21-2003, 02:47 PM if you are usin unbranded one's then switch over to some good one's....there are lots of them actually. I have been usin Sony for sometime now. Also like those HP's out there. jeffyscott 07-21-2003, 03:31 PM Actually I had some unbranded ones that were good, the reflective stuff was protected by being within the plastic disk...or at least it seemed that way. The "branded" ones I have had, like Khypermedia and Imation, had unprotected silver-reflective film laminated on the top side that also served as a surface that you can write on. These were generally free or nearly free CDs.
