You don't need a case at all. What you do need is a power supply (which is usually included with the case, but can be purchased seperately.)

You do need a powerbutton if the case is ATX though dont you?

On the mainboard where you connect the power switch wire... Just get any kind of metal such as a screw driver and touch the two prongs (making a connection) for a split second and the mainboard will power on....
