For some reason that I am trying to figure out my deskjet 612c does not print the color yellow. Couple of months ago I bought brand new ink. I think it still did not print yellow. Can anybody help me or is it a new printer for me.
It may be possible the nozzle is clogged. Have you tried repeatedly running the util to clean the printer nozzles?
Ooops

what also happens is that some wet ink accumilates on the bottom of the cartridge.
it never did it before.

Bad cartridge, if it's been within 30 days, HP warrants them against defects.

Try cleaning the copper contacts with some ethyl alcohol. Sometimes ink gets to the contacts and create resistant. There might not be enough electricity getting to the ink head.
