I have DX9 with a ATI 9700 and when i try to run 3dmark 2001 it tell's me that i need do download 8.1 which i did and installed and it kept give me the same error, how can i get around this

wanted me to update to 8.1. And i installed it off an Nvidia driver CD i had around

actually bryan im having the same exact problem as you......................how the hecc do we fix it????

I have a 9500 Pro and couldn't run 3DMark2001SE until I put in the Build 330 Patch.

That fixed the DX 8.1 not found problem under DX 9 for me.

Go to Futuremark/MadOnion's website. They have a patch to take your version of 3DMark2001SE up to what they call Build330 which is the latest version. They refer to the differently patched versions as builds rather than revisions.
