Ok, here's what happened:

I had a P3 866 but upgraded to a P4 1.7... Didn't reinstall windows or anything. OF COURSE now i've got conflicts... Flashed Bios = didn't work, still have conflicts. Reformated = didn't work, still have conflicts... Now what do I do?

What does "didn't work" mean? Did the flash fail or did it not help?

Which motherboard is this?

Which Windows version?

What are the "conflicts"?

You do seem a bit hasty. That will get you in trouble. Can you take the time to give us the facts?

sorry... should've been more specific...

But anyway, I found out what the problem was... had conflicts with my sound card. Everytime a sound was supposed to be played, the compputer rebooted... Hadn't deactivated onboard sound and a conflict was present between sound card and modem...
