Business Domain/MSHOME problem?

My dad's laptop is on a business network and i've just changed the domain to MSHOME so i can connect it to my PC as i wanted to move some files. Problem is at the log on screen the password he has doesn't work now as it says i need to make sure the domain is correct? Any help, my dad's gonna flip if i don't get it to work before he finds out!

to connect to each other the domain names have to be the same. it seems that u have to find out his domain name and restore it
if it is xp try to restore the settings to before the changes u made

As i can't login i can't get into Windows? As for booting from the my XP cd, it just bypasses the boot and the BIOS is unreachable due to his business restrictions? I think i'm screwed, well i think my dad's screwed.

EDIT: Ah, bloody hell... wiping the sweat from my forehead, simply leaving the login and password blank let me into Windows... thank you System Restore and thank you fredéric for the assist. :)
