Cable and a Surfboard

Hey i was wonder if someone can answer a question of mine which i been very curious of. Is it possible to have cable broadband by just using the cable u use on ur tv, then hooking it up to a surfboard then connecting it to ur computer. So basically doing that without paying for ur cable broadband... Herd it can be done. Only problem its illegal to do that but i just wanted to know... I have DSL anyways lol:(

It is illegal and it WILL NOT WORK because the cable company does not activate the cable internet to the modem without you telling them the MAC address of the Surfboard.

Pay for it if you want cable modem service.
