Does anyone actually use MSN Explorer and why? I have never downloaded it but it does have me curious. I love my Hotmail account and see it promoted "Alot" there.

I actually use it quite a bit when I'm at home and on my WinXP machine. It's not bad and has some nice "newbie" features and gizmos. I dont know if I would take the time to download it but since it was built into XP I figured I might as well play with it while beta testing it

I havent tried it because the interface looks like it takes up a lot of screen space for those neat gizmos. How did you like it Mntsnow? Was there any problem displaying the full width of web pages you were viewing.

I like my IE 5.0, tryed 5.5 and willn't do that again,, ewwwwww. just mho.. madfish

I tried it and it reminds me of AOL. I do like some of the features. Especially those catoring to hotmail. I dont like the idea of reducing my web browsing screen way down (even though I have a 19"). I do notice that I can launch IE 5.5 without launching MS Explorer. I might like this. But I installed this on my secondary system.

I've heard off and on things about it. A friend installed it on his machine, and it TOTALLY screwed up his DUN settings. I uninstalled it for him, and everything was fine after that. I have no plans to download it.

Its really not that bad. I am running it on a machine I pretty much use for Email, chat and downloading. Its kind of a nice touch. I may tire of it before the week is over. Hehe!

Yes it does take away from the total viewable space but truthfully I dont miss it (21" monitors). I use it mainly for when I'm checking my Hotmail account, watching my Stocks, Online photos, ect ect (some of the features that are avalable with it using your MSN passport account)
