my grandma has lots of time and wants a pc to get online, some word processing, etc. She won't need an elaborate pc so I was wondering which cpu, motherboards are cheap and will serve this purpose. Any suggestions?

Any suggestions? TigerStrike2 08-22-1999, 09:10 PM A K6-2 450 with a P5A mobo, 64 mb of ram, $15 sound card and a $50-$100 video would be a nice cheap computer. I got my K6-2 450 for $80 US with the mobo for $85. HD's around 2-4GB are pretty cheap right now too. (But for grandma, I'd just go to 330 or 363mhz.) Make sure you get a new one, though... And if you're a real nice grandson, get her a network card and cable access! She'll love you for it!
