Game timing out

:confused: Please help. I have a co-worker that is having problems with his Linksys router. If he plugs in directly from his modem then he can play his game Everquest with no problem, but when he uses his Linksys router it times out after about 5 mins, but he can surf the net all day with no problems.

If you have ANY info, please let me know.

His OS is W2K, the router is a Linksys BEFSR-41. All drivers are current. His NIC is a Realtech (not sure of model). It's an off brand PC.

The PORTs

he needs to either be in DMZ mode
or Forward the Ports to his IP

Everyquest should have some numbers listed somewhere

put those numbers in the forwarding page of the Router
