Yes you can overclock. No need to venture off to get answers to overclocking, you can stay here and get the same treatment. Although Overclockers.com does have a great cpu database.

Before you overclock, you should read up on threads in the overclocking forum here.

Ramsuer,

The important question is not so much "can I overclock" as "should I overclock". Overclocking risks data corruption and can reduce processor life. Why not just buy a somewhat faster processor?

Overclocking?..why not go for it?..yes..it can cut your processor life to half..but really..will you have the same CPU in 5 years??...

John,

A properly done overclock does not risk either CPU life or data corruption. This is especially true on AMD CPU's of late, many of which will overclock 20-40% with minimal changes.

I've personally overclocked several systems where I was able to raise system speed as much as 40%, with no loss of stability, all the while remaining within the safey levels for heat and voltage recommended by AMD engineers themselves.
