I'm currently looking for "Member Profiles" which ideally would include a photo (of the member) however this is not mandatory..

BigJakk is going to knock up an article on increasing your machines processing capabilities..... With a mind to Crunchin more units.

I'm looking for a definitive answer on the recent compatability issue's with the latest CLi & Seti hide I understand .... & Oli has not adaped Setihide to operate this &....... I dunno you lot tell me.
I could host the working version of the CLi on the Setiteam server
if necessary as a quick fix. (If we want to keep new members we are going to have to assist them in the setup)

********@setiteam email boxes are still available for active team members applications to webmaster@setiteam.com please...

If anyone is willing to put "Finger to Keyboard" & compile any articles (Pikkis too please) on anything seti related (no matter how vaguely) Webby JNR & associates... will give them the onceover & add them to ........Gee I dunno I'll fit em in somwhere.

I'm currently looking in to the feasability of "Sysopt.com Users Setiteam 2002" T shirts....... Which will be nice......... Well it will once I've got a decent product for sensible money & worked out the Logistics........ Hmm Maybe case badges too.....

Plaese don't forget ....... You can still crunch Wu's & compile articles for the setiteam website ya know!........ The ball is in your court .........

A download of the 3.03 client would be helpful as there is not apparent danger from using it.

Version 3.08 is a precautionary security release. There was a potential buffer overrun in the networking code of the client that is fixed with version 3.08. Note that to exploit this vulnerability, a potential attacker would have to trick the client into contacting a fake server rather than the actual SETI@home server. To our knowledge, no SETI@home client has ever been attacked in this manner.

Also, links to other add-ons such as setiteam(real-time stats), and setiwatch(network monitor), should be there, too. Anything for linux users, as well. :)

I've only ever been there once... what's the link guys?

Oh, and reply/PM me if you need a copy of the 3.03 executable... I'm still running it and have it hosted on my website for you to link to as well, save you some space :D

Would the webmaster please copy this URL to my site and use it for the Downloads section of the new S@H webpage? :D

http://www.one87.net/~teamx/files/sah303.exe

Enjoy! If I can host other neat stuff for you guys, let me know.

Oh, enjoy this link as well, for those of you who use it:

http://www.one87.net/~teamx/files/setidriver.exe - the working executable... it recreates all config files on the fly, and using it from your "root" SETI folder means you don't even have to point it to the CLI! :t

[EDIT] I shortened the URL to the file (rather the filename) so copy and paste means you don't have to try and remember the long name of the S@H CLI :D

I wrote a 'getting started with SETI on Linux' guide that is meant as an assistant to get SETI installed and working after the OS has been installed and helps a user understand basic Linux commands. I'll be happy to email it to the webmaster if you're interested.

Ohh Yeah that would be great !

As you may of observed the old site wasn't updated quite as
frequently as it could of been consequently a lot of the articles
have run there course........ As I'm updateing & re-vamping the more, new stuff the better... Maybe a few screen shots too, to
add a bit of colour & general interest :p We have oodles of space left on the server, however super high resolution pikkis will be a pain for the 56k boys, Bandwidth is sufficient to pitch a tent on & have a good night sleep too :p ............... So as somone once said "The world is your Lobster"

Or as Jonnie 5 once said "Input ..........I need input" :)
(Short circuit 1 & 2) :r

That's cool j.m. I wrote it with the idea of having it hosted on the setiteam website, but interest seemed to drop. It's just a basic guide to Linux command prompt navigation, centered around setting up SETI to run automatically.

I'm a lil demoralized wiv the lack of interest myself :(

But we will soldier on Capn' :D
