I just discovered SETI@Home a couple weeks ago. I was wondering, if you find ETI, how will you know it?

The data from each work unit is analyzed several times. Any significant readings will be reported immediately when sent back to Seti@home and will be credited to the user who sent it back.

One of our team has already gotten such a credit.

Candidate found by eFrisky (http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/Candidates/user_list/users/2048698.html)

These candidates a further analyzed for more specific information.

You never know! :t
