when it comes to LOW LEVEL disk Format, there's no such thing as Linux/DOS/Windows

they are all the same, cuz it's hardware based, it just the Executable that runs in difference OSes

using manufacturer utility is the safest :t

download a bootdisk from www.bootdisk.com

get zap and just zap the drive. no need to do a full low level format.

If you really want to do a low level, then go to the manufacturer's website for their utility.

i used the seagate startup disk to zerofill a fujitsu drive just a couple days ago

drive had bad sectors before but all seems fine now

the seagate disk wouldnt allow me to setup the drive as it didnt detect it as a seagate but everything else it would do okay
