Running commands to other comp

How can I make computer a) run its microphone from computer b)'s sound card? The microphone could be in either a) or b)'s sound port as long as I can do it.
I am running a linksys 4 port router.

As long at the the cord on the mic is long enough to reach computer b, you shouldn't have a problem.

there are 2 good pieces of software

VNC and pcAnywhere

but if you are planning to SEND sound from one PC to another PC

then no, you'll have to record it first on either pc

Why not use Yahoo Messenger or one of the other chat software to do it. You can open a chat session with each computer.
