I've noticed there is a really worthless and annoying protection feature in IE that doesn't let you paste passwords in the prompt. You can paste a username, but for some odd reason I can't paste the passwords. It's get annoying when I have memorize a prompt with all sorts of letters and numbers. Isn't there some kind of tweak that will let IE ignore this protection?
Thanks for any help.

Nope but you can use Roboform - one of my top ten utils for IE.
Or snadboy which will reveal the passwords!
Best bet is ROBOFORM or one of its ilk!!!
ALLGAMER Will suggest moving to mozilla/firebird or Opera - they all have it built in!!!

Aww that's worthless, I don't want to use one of those password managers. Thanks for the help, but there just has to be some kind of modification I could make, I know I'm not the first to be annoyed by this.

LOL :r
Ome took my line right outta my mouth :)
now for some unexpected answer.....:D
YES, IE 5 and IE 6 does have that capability
go to Internet Options, then Content
go to AutoComplete
now make sure all 3 check box are selected
next time when you save a login and password, the next time you use it, it will auto fill it with both
and you get to pick from different ones too
But one thing is True, MOZILLA and Opera handles it much better ;)

Yeah I was wondering why he had probs with cut and paste for passwords.
I do it all the time when I forget one, just paste it from the email they sent it to me in and boom. Never had a problem with it. (Of course IE hasn't been my primary browser for years now.)

Why not, I'm not some kind of hacker or anything. I thought it was ok to tweak and mess around with your OS. How is modifying my OS hacking and against the rules?
