Welcome the new Webmaster!

As most of you know, Vibe has given up control of the setiteam website for various reasons.

In the interim it was passed to me for safekeeping. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about maintaining a website so I asked around and have tentatively passed the reins to our own j.m@talk21.com aka John Murphy. He has some skills that I was unaware of, as well as a willingness to endure the slings and arrows of web-mastering.

Initially, he will attempt to get the existing bugs out of our present site and will be handling any email problems our members may have. (You're all aware that as a team member you can get an address through the website?)

He'll also be sorting out the financial details. The web-page had a donation button that sent donations to Vibe through PayPal. That will probably change, at least the destination, so hold up on that until we're sure where the money is going. And, as always, we'll leave the donating up to those who feel they can, but it is much appreciated. Of course, if it looks like too much financing we may have to scrap the whole thing. But, let's give it a chance first.

Finally, I'd like to thank John for taking it on and wish him luck on this venture. I hope all our members will give him as much support as possible!

From a recent preview of the main page I'd say he is quite proficient! :D

The site, as we knew it, has had a complete face-lift. The status is going to be shakey until all elements have been addressed, so don't be surprised if the page is unavailable temporarily.

If you have a profile, or other material, to contribute to the site just send it along to JM and he'll work it into the finished product. :t

Sponsorship has been agreed for the next 12 months at least for the webhosting.

The only monies I'm left to try & raise is for the Domain (Rent)
Which will probably be in the reigion of $20

Webby JNR the last time I saw him was putting the final touches to the "Visitors Book" So that will be quite a good barometer of the interest in Seti-in' :cool:

I will be transferring the site to the new hosts server - all exsisting email accounts will remain active (according to postaster pat) ;) Soon.............

I have sorted that puppy out Donations (http://www.setiteam.com/donations.htm) gratefully recieved :t

The way it is at the moment "We" have to come up with $15 to $20 within 14 days :eek: Hardly a Kings Ransome anyone that can help we sure would apreciate it :)
