Either that your system will have frequent power downs during operation... hawkeye177 06-20-2001, 09:30 PM Smoke huh. Not good. What kind of damage can it do. Barney 06-20-2001, 09:36 PM It's bad for your lungs. hawkeye177 06-20-2001, 09:43 PM A computer does not have lungs Barney!!! Damage to your computer. Barney 06-20-2001, 09:45 PM Oh, you mean what damage it does to your computer? Well, it obviously damages your PSU. jad1097 06-20-2001, 10:33 PM Barney, it's just too easy. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif V=IxR jad1097 06-20-2001, 10:37 PM If you do a search in the tech forum there is a great explanation of this. hawkeye177 06-21-2001, 08:09 AM So if there is no smoke I am fine. acid_burn~187 06-21-2001, 09:39 AM I'm not too sure about the smoke, never had it happen to me. But if you have a crappy supply, and your running like a 1.33 gig athlon with a GeForce 3 and like 4 7200 RPM drives and you find that the system will freeze all the itme for no reason, or just reset, or turn off randomly. It's cauz the supply isn't sufficient to supply the computer. If the comptuer is running stable, usualy it means that the supply is powerfull enough for the immediat system. ~Paul SysOpt.com
