any ram with a lifetime warantee and made by nec has gotta be fine. however, kingston and crucial are the two best mfgrs. and nec has little if any experience making dimm ram.
but with a lifetime warrantee you cant go wrong.

NEC, if this the same NEC that is the parent company of Pakard Bell? their computers are kinda crappy, and I'll never buy another one, but they make ,okay parts, i guess, haven;t heard of too much trouble, how much does it cost, try www.crucial.com/webpromo, (http://www.crucial.com/webpromo,) best RAM of earth, and net deals are 15% off, and free shipping, pretty good deals.

NEC has a very long history of making excellent, high-end computer parts. Their aquisition of Packard Bell, in fact, however, nearly destroyed the company's reputation--mainly because Packard Bell's, as noted, were absolute junk.

For a 3 year period or so (96-99) the stuff coming out of the company was markedly inferior to what it had been. Recently, however, their quality has become much better--back to their old, pre-Packard levels.

I would trust NEC RAM.
