... for replacing altered Registry settings to their defaults, and/or replacing corrupt Registry settings?

I've heard different takes on whether it does or doesn't.

All informed replies - Thank You!

A reinstall of '98 cures all kinds of Reg stuff. In particular, .vxd errors seem to get fixed, providing it's windows giving the error, and not another POS software thingy.
Look at it this way, it sure won't hurt!

Comtech - thanks, I couldn't seem to find a definitive answer.... Thanks for the reply /forum/smile.gif

CMonster - noooooo, I am being good, /forum/wink.gif just was wondering since I have seen differing opinions on this.

It's just a general "slowdown" concerning my online throughput, but now seeing the tweak3d link by Comtech on another post here, I have found some more things to tweak and hopefully increase online performance.

Here's my definitive answer: sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.
Try installing it from DOS. If it doesn't solve your problems.....well you know the rest groan

If you are trying to cure a VxD error, take a good look at your drivers for each particular device. Chance are they are what caaused them /forum/smile.gif
