I heard lot noise about that new HSF.It's rated as a very good fan by some reputed overclocking sites. As you now, some guys got paid to give a product good review.
Since my IG AMD runs too hot,I'm thinking about replacing my HSF.So,I would like to know if anyone of you is using the Thermoengine. And, if you do,how do you rate it?

I have been using the ThermoEngine w/delta38 fan for a couple of weeks. This thing works great. The cpu, 1.33 Athlon AXIA, runs at 38c lite load, and 41c under heavy gaming. This is about 5c cooler than the standard hs/fan I had been using. The 7k fan is a little loud, after a few days it is not something that is objectionable. Be sure you use the TIM that comes with the unit. Do not remove the TIM and apply thermalpaste instead. The TIM is made up of a special chemical compound that activates when it gets hot. Works much better than artic silver or any other paste.

Thanks guys for your assessment of the Thermoengine.Because of you, now,I can go ahead and buy the HSF that I need so much.
Even with the cover off,my igig amd is still
running at 54* which is way too high.
Having trusted some HSF reviews, two weeks ago,Iended up buying the Thermaltake Orbit 462.That thing performs worst than a stock one.Ihope to get better result with the Thermoengine.
So,thanks for your help

Nick: Please save yourself some trouble. Leave the TIM that comes on the unit on. The TIM has a patent on it by ThermoEngine, it is composed of some chemicals that liquifies when gets hot. This cooler works great if you leave the TIM on the unit. The temp's are about 5c higher if you remove it and apply artic silver or compareable.

BTW, make sure you have the Delta Black label, or else you're going to have meager performance with the Thermoengine. BTW, it's loud http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif.

Iplaced the order today and I should have it
by Friday.
The name of the merchant is sidewindercomputer.com.Its price is $25.00+4.35 for shipping.Ithink it's reasonable compared to ebay where some crooks
want up to $40.00.
Once i intall it I will let you know if it really performs as some reviews claim.Until then,I have to put with the stock one which displays a temp of 54*c
