can i have a scsi hard drive as master and a ide ultra ata as a slave?

NO SUCH THING

SCSI is serial, no master or slave

IDE is the only kind that has that

i have a 36gb scsi hard drive and a 200 gb western digital hardrive

set your bios to boot from scsi. i think thats what you mean. the ide drive can be a master or slave, since the scsi drive will boot first.

btw, scsi drives have id#s not master or slave
