For those of you with network connections...

What is the uptime (since last reboot) of your Windows 2000 machine, I just checked my laptop and it has been up for 202 days and 21 hours.

Exact reading : 202 days 21 hours 43 minutes 05 seconds

LAPTOP ??!! 202 Days...Wow... My server's been up since first install, 36 days and counting, work's like a charm... W2K workstation is rarely up more than one or two days. ( I like to experiment with it)

Well I had one of my boxes that had been up since the install (of course up and down for a couple of weeks during hardware and software installs) but after that it went till service pack 2 came out since it was so stable (didnt even install sp1 as I didnt want to have the reboot) My other boxes go atleast a month or two ....but back to your question... I would guess it was around 7 or so months as I didnt even look...

My initial experience with Win 2k was a disaster, sp2 installed with via 4in 1 ver 3.1 drivers. It was so slow and I was getting blue screens everday after installing office 2000 service pack . Had to reformat and reinstall 1 day ago. This time I installed office 2k early with it's sp, did not install the via bus master and enabled DMA. So far my system is stable and much faster although its still early days yet.
Setup is tbird 1000, MSI K7TPRO 2A, 256 pc 133 micron ram

Hi,
As long as i liked, usually i would have to reboot, because of a newly installed program or something, but sometimes i would go months.

My current uptime is 11 mins. I have just rebooted from an overclock. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I had it up for a week once. After that I just turned it off because I figured that it was never going to crash.

Hi,

My Win2000 Server sp2 has been up and running since I've built it (3 weeks ago).
I am also running Proxy 2.0 and Talkworks 3.0 (answering machine)

At least a couple of weeks with Win2k pro. Once in a while I reboot. I don't really have a schedule. Not because it felt slow, just whenever I feel like rebooting, never felt sluggish like Win9x would after a day.

I know Win2k has pretty good memory management but nothing clears memory better than a reboot.

well, my win2K pro system has been up since i installed SP2 on it, probably about 2 weeks, maybe more, can't remember, don't want to check. but what is really ironinc, my win98 systems has been up for 32 days now, i'm amazed, of coarse, i never use it, it's just running as a back-up, just incase, i don't even know why i have it turned on, i tried to use it for something the other day, it's feeling kind sluggish, but of coarse that could be because of the fact that it's less that half the speed of my regualr one, heheh...

*crying* I went to bed last night with Winamp signing me to sleep .. woke up around 3:00am to a loud buzzing, Win2K with SP2 had BSOD and I had to reboot, it was so sad.

My w2k system had been running for about 5 weeks before I upgraded my video drivers and rebooted.

my three w9x machines have been running for 2 weeks (all they do is RC5)

Since I shut down every night, I guess I can't really qualify for continuous uptime. It has never crashed, and all problems were driver and software related. It's been about a month or so.

Well, I was so impressed by how long my computer stayed up and running flawlessly, I actually screen-capped it so I would have proof. If I ever stop installing stuff, or accidently cutting the power, I'll try for a lot longer.
