Looking for server to upload mpg's etc..

Hi, I have some mpg's that I would like to share with friends, know of any server's that would allow me to upload such files ?.

No, but if you have cable, just run an ftp server or run a hotline server and set up an account for them to DL them.

I am not aware of any free online site that allows the amount of space you need to house mpg files... and believe me, I've looked. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Daveleau's answer would probably be your best bet. Alternatively, you can enable IIS or Peer Web Server (depending on what version of Windows you're running). Then do a web share (right-click the folder | sharing | web share tab).

That way, you can just give your friends the web address: http://your IP/sharename/ and they will be able to see what cha got in that folder you just shared.

It's better than having an FTP server running 24/7 in my personal opinion.

The problem is that I have adsl, so my upload speed has is quite low http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif.

Also, i don't leave my computer on 24/7.
