Im trying to help someone out On win ME. I dont have Win Me to walk him through the process of copying his music CD to his harddrive so he can convert to an Mp3. He is very slow when it comes to computers so I would need step by step instructions on copying the Cd to his hard drive. I can handle the Musicmatch part.
Any help would be great! Thanks!

Strange, you can't copy a CD to the harddrive as such because the files (.cda) aren't the music, what you need to do is rip them using an encoder such as MusicMatch which you are ok with....

Stefan you are right. Im so used to recording directly to my computer that I forgot this is not a normal data disk.
He has a standalone recorder with a Cd burner built in. He will have to go Spdif or line out to his soundcard and record it that way.
Thanks for the Reminder!!:t

I had to come back and add to this.
I am so used to recording straight to my computer that I forgot this.
You can take a CD and record directly from that Into Musicmatch.! Then you can convert the wave to Mp3. He figured that out.
Im getting too old! The good part though is no one here caught it either!:D
