What I am looking for is a pre-compiled list of words that can be filtered from messages. I am setting up an internal compay discussion board. I have filtered out some very common profanity, but I would like to make the filter faster. I must type each word one at a time which is taking a lot of time.

Does anyone know where I can download a text file that contains a list of inappropriate language? I have searched google and seem to only find programs with these features and not a list I can download.

Thanks.

Thanks but I think I will need to finish the list manually. It seems a lot of software has that ability but no one provides a precompiled list of more that 5 or 6 words.

HJopefully all of the employees I support are adult enough to mind theirs manners. I just think it is a bad idea to allow Anonymous posts. This is the reason I decided to set up the filter. Ity would be pretty difficult to track an anonymous post to the potty mouth who posted it.

The word filter runs on the webserver which is in a different time zone. It is basically CGI script that interacts with the forum created. It filters the words on the server side to prevent the words from being used. I do not want the words even posted.

If you try to post inappropriate language an error will make you remove the words or give the option to cancel the post.

I will keep that type of software in mind when I have my home network running and my kids access the Internet unsupervised.

If anyone is interested in seeing my forum, I can PM a link. It is not as good as the sysopt forums but the price is right and it will serve it purpose. The site has a few test messages from me, but it has not been launched in the company yet.
