Check it out! http://www.egomedia.com/
This webpage loads relatively fast on my 56k modem, and resembles a complete OS, with slider bars, customizable desktop, desktop icons you can doubleclick on, windows, and music. Hands down the most well designed website I've ever seen. Maybe not the most practical, but excellent design.
Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with these guys, nor do I know what they do/sell/want, but I got the link off a friend and the webpage is great.

Amazing, the site can fill an entire desktop with flash and not hardly touch the processor, but Intel makes a small banner ad and it NAILS the processor LOL
another thing I really liked was, I'm on a HORRIBLE connection and it loaded very quickly... I average about 2k or less downloads (should be fixed friday http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif and it still only took about 30 seconds to start working http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I had to resize my desktop to 1024x768 to view it best.
That's definitely one of the most fascinating sites and one of most interesting design concepts I've seen for awhile.. it held my interest for the last 30 or so minutes.
Thanks for the site link, AEdge! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

30 minutes? wow I guess my attention spans shorter than most. I think I changed wallpaper twice (The second one's animated http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif), and music twice, clicked a couple things, closed it, and shared the news.
And I still dont know what they do, sell or want http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif. I'm a horrible consumer like that...I dont pay much attention unless I know what I'm looking for.

Heres a Pic of it...everything above my taskbar is the website.
<IMG SRC="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1698049&a=13041049&p=50400983" border=0>
I think the site will download faster than the picture...I Shrank my desktop to 800x600 for the pic because if I had taken it at 1280x1024 and resampled it, nothing would be readable.
I think I sat there customizing it in the last 15 minutes, changing wallpaper, dragging around icons, just cuz I could. I STILL dont know what they want. I know they just want something about "agents" or something? Beats me...

It seems their a company that offers corporate makeovers or something like that. They've made websites for some of their clients, they also do ads.
It's a helluva way to advertise their services.
I never knew flash could do that. Makes one wonder why do other lesser flash sites take so long to download?
Flash has a native scripting language called Actionscript, which is very similar to Javascript in syntax... it's not all animation you know http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif ... I haven't been able to view the site yet (needed new Flash5 player and the **** WIN2k reboot takes too long)... but if it's really interactive, then it could be Shockwave and not Flash. Though it did request the Flash 5 player and Shockwave has its own player.
