How do you say ' We gotta do this again' in latin. I mean classical Latin, e.g. 'Vene vidi vici', 'I came I saw, I conquered' Well, my latin is not so good, so I thought someone might have the words.

AG- yeh, I took four years of classical Latin (many years ago), and have forgotten almost all of it. Too bad I didn't save the books. It seems the syntax maybe the hangup here. Perhaps the phrase would be better stated as 'This thing (or action) must we do (or perform) again' ? Or possibly 'This must be done again by us'? Or even 'Done again by us this must be' - kinda sounds like Yoda from Star Wars that way, don't it?:p Lastly how about 'This by us again must be done'. Even a Spanish translation would be of help I suspect. Pedro2305 07-08-2003, 03:35 AM Spanish= "Debemos hacer esto de nuevo" "Debemos hacerlo otra vez" Latin not sure but i think "Vis repetita" :t comp_nut 07-08-2003, 05:47 AM try the church [diocese] they did use latin steevo 07-08-2003, 08:39 PM How do you say ' We gotta do this again' in latin. I'm curious, have you just finished agame of chess with Copernicus or something ;) Arcarix 07-11-2003, 03:48 AM Pedro2305- That sounds like it means 'newly' not 'again'. Am I wrong about that? What I am looking for is something along the lines of- Gee, that was fun, 'we gotta do this again!' Comp_nut -I am not a member, and as I understand, the church is getting away from the traditional Latin services. Steevo - No, and this is no big deal or anything. It was just a stray thought that floated thru the vast grey spaces of my mind. It may die of loneliness. Oh, and Copernicus lost the last game - didn't know the Hofenbrau Algoritms:D SysOpt.com
