Thats what I did all gamer..
I burned it exactly as you stated but when I put it in a vcd player.. It said check disk..
Tried mulitple times..
Is there a burn setting I have to check?
THanx...
Or possibly a setting on the dvd player?
Does it have to be burned on a dvd.. I highly doubt it..
THanx again.

i think you need a program call Daemon Tools.. it can do the following thing & it is FREE
-You can test your image files before burning them to CDs
-You can copy your original software as image file and run it from it. This improves usage speed a LOT and this way your orginal CD doesn't get worned out
-You can keep important CDs handy as image files for exp. in your laptop.

What is the brand and model of the standalone DVD player that you are trying to use to play your VCDs?
It's possible that your standalone player doesn't play VCDs, or it doesn't recognise certain brands of CD-R/W media. You could try another brand of CD-R/W media, or take the discs that you've already burnt and try playing them on another player.
WinDVD or other DVD/VCD/SVCD playback software should enable you to view your VCDs on your computer, just to check that they are readable.
There's a compatability list of DVD players here (http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php?DVDname=&vcd=1&Submit2=Search&Search=Search&viewall=0&order=0).

If u have the bin file, i assume u downloaded it, u should also download the appropriate cue file that goes with it, usualy its the exact same file name as your bin file with with a .cue extension. Then uses a program like Fireburner, great for burning bin/cue files, and burn it using that. BUT make sure u select DISK AT ONCE instead of Track at ONCE, has to be burned disk at first or else it won't play in anything stand alone or computer drive. You could use Nero again without the cue, making sure disc at once is selected before u burn and finalize, but sometimes cue files contains info about that bin file that could be differnet than the defaults nero uses and that could cause it not to play also..
Also, bin files are usually bigger in size, but will still fit on a normal cd even if they are over 800megs, its just the nature of a bin format.
