SGI and Nvidia Press releases...misquote?

I saw this on the HardOCP (www.hardocp.com) by a contributer named Jonathan Wong


pay attention to the dates too:

read the 2nd paragraph here (April. 9, 1998) http://www.sgi.com/newsroom/press_releases/1998/april/nvidia_release.html

and read the 4th paragraph here (August 20, 2000) http://www.corporate-ir.net/ireye/ir_site.zhtml?ticker=NVDA&script=410&layout=9&item_id=113590

Probably a coincidence.

The first and second paragraph of the first artical are strangly similar to the second and fourth paragraphs of the second.

One is SGI filing a lawsuit vs. Nvidia.
The other one is NVidia filing against 3dFX.

I thought this was notable..and very very strange. Can two people really make a quote that similar?

The legal part maybe...
But theres a quote in there..the first by senior vice president of the Visual department of SGI, and the second by the CEO of NVidia. Thier the exact same quote..down to every last word.
And its not a generic quote either.
It uses words like "missappropiated". Thats one of those words you hear once a year.
