Why is it a hassle to run programs from a CD-RW drive? Does it take longer than running from a hard drive? ?? I want to run applications like Fireworks, Freehand, Flash

I dont know about it being a hassle but a cd drive is slower than than a HD and that might be what you are looking for? dont really know what you are asking here..apps?, games? what?

Even compared to a regular CD-Rom drive the
load times seem slower on a CD-RW.
I think it's cause of the double duty. I am assuming the drive has to ascertain if its a regular read only cd or a blank cd.
