What are the best keyboards to type on?
I saw a Cherry keyboard in someones office once but I can't remember the
model. It had a light touch and made a quiet click (not the old IBM noisy
click type).
Anyone know what model this is?
Also, what do you rate as the best keyboard?
Thanks,
Jon

I think that keyboards are really a fit for your typing style, I have really racked my fingertips because I pound the keyboard, but, I think Logitech makes the nicest ones. Very good touch, my hands don't hurt as much, and awesome software that actually works for the mouse and keyboard. Their wireless stuff even works. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

You would'nt like what I prefer and use.
The "old IBM noisy click type" as you called it. I know from a previous poll that there are several member's on this board that use old IBM keyboard's.
It's all a matter of preference. Hope you find what your looking for.

That's exactly what I thought boy what I wouldn't give to have an Old (cira) DEC keyboard like I had back then,, and were they noisy! Great snap in the keys tho huh?
ahh back in the day......

We use Keytronics at work. Good value for money and great service if there is a problem. They make some clicking, but we have people that want the clicking. I have no idea why. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I like my Microsoft Natural Elite, it's a split style keyboard that really cuts down on wrist strain if you do a lot of typing.
I also think I picked up about 10-15 words per minute after switching and getting used to it.

Love the cheap kind because they work just as well. But my keyboards must have the big "backspace" button. It can't be small.
gotta agree with the backspace button. Make sure its not one of those little ones.
