I just got a second maxtor (bargain) to fill my burgeoning data storage requirements. Now I'm thinking what will i do when I fill this up and I was wondering if anyone has two ide drives and addional sata drives as well running from from the same board , like with four hdd's in total?

Yep, Have you thought about how much demand is going on your power supply? And case ventilation?

I just got my Maxtor 120gig SATA150 running and have four/five IDE drives running. Theoretically should be able to run 8ATASs and four SATAs off my motherboad.

my case don't have any sides, so ventilation is not a prob(plus I got a 12" desk fan keeping it cool at the mo along with a slk800 hs/fan:D )

but your right, i wan't thinking about the heat, a stack of four hdd will probably cook my breakfast for me.

Case moddification time methinks.
