I've had a US Robotics router for less than a year. It's an 8000A. Here's the link:

Since I've had it, it gets pretty warm after being active for about an hour, which i thought is normal. Just recently, the router is getting hot, sometimes too hot to hold it for a few seconds. My internet connection just dies sometimes out of nowhere. The first time it happend last week, I pressed the reset button on the router. That didnt fix it, so i unplugged it and plugged it back in. That didn't work. So i unplugged it for about 5 minutes and plugged it back in and my connection came back. This has happend about 3 times in the past couple days, and unplugging it for 2-5 minutes always fixes it for about a day or less. The router's chassis is made of metal. Is the router burning up? Should I put a fan inside of it?
BTW, it's connected to a DSL modem, and is routing the connection to 3 computers, including this one.
