I know that a few companies are promising products for the fall (Philips - Thompson) but is anybody actually shipping a DVD+ RW at the moment. 4.7gig a side re-writable DVD is something I could use *right* now. Also which interface do you think they will be using SCSI - USB 2 - Firewire?

Any thoughts
Steve B.

Ricoh is shipping the MP9120A, HP has the HP-9900ci, Toshiba has the SD-R1102, and Samsung has a drive. These are all posted at pricewatch when I searched for DVD CD-RW. They are available starting at around $230.

Doh! Guess I should read more...sorry.
DVR-A03 by Pioneer is being sold but only in pre-order status now. It is a DVD-RW and CD-RW combo. Going for around $840 now. That is the only one listed though and even it is in pre-release now.

Yes. I am specifically talking about DVD+ RW not the CD rw + DVD combo drives. I need that 4.7 gig a side. Can't wait. Any thoughts as to the interface? USB 2 / SCSI ??

I think he's talking about Rewritable DVDs. Not regular DVD/CDRW combo drives.
