computer-related proj.design...pls!

Hello guys! hope you could help me with this stuff...

Im a computer student and we're about to make a project design of a computer-related concepts. I recently proposed that our group could have pursued a certain "multiport converter for I/O Interfacing". Hmn, wanna have your opinion? Well, this project aims to produce a prototype of a converter integrating the serial, PS2, parallel and USB to still make use of other ports. Can this be possible? A device that would have them all...??? In case the answer would be NO, could you give me another stuff to work at?
