How do data recovery companies get the data off a broken hard disk? I've often wondered how to get into this business and wondered what was involved.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jon

If there's a electronic or mechanical failure, a repair is attempted. If that fails, they remove the platters and recover manually. It's not for beginners.
