ok heres my problem:
I have a computer on my network that connects by this entrega ethernet to usb device (to take the place of a card). I was trying to send over a few files and the usb device kept on stopping working after the first few files were sent up to it. The only way i could get that computer connected again was to unplug the device and replugg it. I think the problem may be in the driver but i dont have the cd and can't find the driver any where on the internet. Entrega became another Xircom and the site doesnt have my driver. So, im stuck using the win xp driver and its doing these wierd things. Is there something telling it to shut off after a certain amount of info is passed through it? where should i look to change it?

Duuude - it's time to ditch that thing. Entrega was gobbled up by Xircom and Intel swallowed Xircom. Look here for drivers:

USB networking is highly unreliable - always has been. You should really invest in a PCI/PCMCIA Ethernet card.

you are majorly bottlenecking the network by using the usb ethernet adapter anyway. I only use usb ethernet adapters for quick file transfers, not day to day use.

oh :( any idea on why that's so ? my mom payed $60 for the darned thing 4 years ago and it worked semi-fine on win 98. But anyway i found a pci card for $10 and it works great now. thanks for the help.

drivers make a big difference, but usb network devices in general just plain suck.
