half-life?

i just installed half-life platinum edition( including half-life, team fortress, opposing force, counter strike and blue-shift ). Few questions:

1. I can't return to the main menu during the game ( got killed, wanted to change controls...)?

2. I want to use joystick. Can you recommend one for this game/

1) Are you runnign an Ati video card?

2)Dont bother, a gamepad with analogue stick might work passably, but for the freelook of FPS' you really need to use a mouse

If ur running the latest drivers with it, try dropping back to the last version before em

The driver which comes in the CD did not work so I downloaded the drivers from this link:

http://www.atitech.ca/support/products/pc/radeon7000/win2k/radeon7000win2kdrivers.html

I only installed the driver and the control-panel.

BTW. if I installed only half-life then it worked fine.
