Radeon 9500 pro problems (also in my other post)

The problem I am having with this card is when I get it installed, the first time it reboots it works fine. It seems after this initialboot, it will not start. It tries to load windows xp and it crashes back to the beginning sequence where you see the dell logo and bios version. What I did to install this is I used add/remove and then booted into safe mode to use driver cleaner to get old files off system. I did this for the old card and numerous times for the new one to no avail. Does anybody have any ideas as to why this is happening. The card works fine, when it works. Also, if I use the drivers that came with it, it doesn't recognize the card the right way. It either says its 32 or 64mb when it is, in fact, 128mb. If I use ati's latest drivers, it does not tend to do this. I would really appreciate some help. Thanks!!!

Might be a weird dell mobo thing. Actually it 90/1 is. Its a newer dell? Try dell tech support its supposed to be free or somthing right?:confused: Thats why I like to pick me own parts.:)

I have a dell 4400 well had its now a my 4400 know dell parts left :) anyways, if you had a MX Card in befor or any other card, heres what I had to do, put back in the old card remove the drivers from it. if you can do a roll back for windows(Restore) or remove DX9, then reinstall your Video Card, but only when you have your Card in should you go get DX9, download it Separately to any other updates windows has if any, but make sure you download or install DX9 by its self, see if that works. I got it going. I did a reformat and installed xp with new card in agp slot. I needed to do it anyway. I am just kinda hesitant to load the new cats for this card because of the hassle. Also, what I noticed when I used driver cleaner, I used the cab cleaner and said the driver.cab does not exist. wonder if thats what messed it up. What do you guys think? Anyway, Thanks for all the help guys.!!
