ive always had high ping in delta force black hawk down but now it goes to the extreme and always boots me from the game on the net.I have dial up connection but i use to be able to play on the net but not now. Using winxp Ti4600 vid card SB sound Asus P4S333MB 512Ram 2.0Ghz chip.Games are not a problem at gamespy but cant play delta force.Any help would be appreciated

Maybe the proxy server is slow? :rolleyes:

You may try to play in the morning and see the result.

He's on dial up, so he "should be" the slowest part of the network. Anyhow-that changes during high traffic to public servers. If its constant for days then its prolly you.

ill try this weekend in the morning but i think i did last weekend and to no avail. Bear in mind that i use to play at any time of the day without much problem before its only recently with no new software installed

Check for spyware. Even after Ad-Aware and Spybot I still had two unknown processes running. Killed them and now my p2p ICQ connections are 100% fast and FTP server doesn't cause any problem as before.
WinXP.

ND's got a good idea there. I always run spybot before a online game to catch any bandwidth hogs before I start up!;)

thank you very much for the help and ill give it a go. I really appreciate the help provided and have found this much more helpful than the producers of the game.
