I've been having trouble with my CD bruner. My burner was working fine, and the one day it just stopped. I was burning a bunch of CDs in a row, and one burned, and the next just didn't. I didn't change anything. Now, no CD burner will work in my system. I know the drives are good, though because they work in other systems.
There is a list of errors in my Event Viewer (I'm on Windows XP) that come from my CD-ROM. I can't tell what they mean, or how to fix this problem. So far as I can tell, I haven't seen anyone else with this problem. I'm including some pictures:
Event Viewer (32.6 kb) (http://www.bellsouthpwp.com/a/a/aarmenaa/CDRWPG1.htm)
Event Description (7.04 kb) (http://www.bellsouthpwp.com/a/a/aarmenaa/CDRWPG2.htm)
I have a Norcent RW481, a no name brand. However, I have tried to burn with burners from HP, Yamaha, etc. It's all the same. I decided to dual boot a second Windows XP, and the burner started working agian, then died again. The same errors are present. The same errors are generated no matter what burning program I use. I have tried Nero, CloneCD, and Blindwrite. Easy CD Creator did the same thing (it was installed on the second OS, to not interfere). I'm really not in the mood to format my computer every time I want to burn a CD.
