Voodoo 5 and xp ghosties

The other day my computer was on the default windows screen saver for xp, then all of a sudden the display turned a real orangey on the logo,upon reboot even the bios screen colors were odd. .. ReInstalling drivers didnt work...swapping monitors produced the same results?
I also tried an old card with same results??

What has happened has my agp slot gone south or is this recoverable somehow?

Ps. the vid card is a voodoo 5 v5.5 running updated windows drivers? I also didn't mention when installing the voodoo 3dfx tools...it returns the following error on multiple dll's
"error 1904....tweak.dll fails to register
HResult - 2147418113"

it does the same for color.dll,tv-out...and the rest

Try clearing CMOS on the motherboard. Unplug and remove the battery for a few minutes.

Bipolar what are we leading towards do u think the cmos has corrupted?..:t thanks for responding im pulling my hair out on this one.....:confused:

Just try it.

If it fails, you may have a leaking or failing capacitor on the motherboard. It's happening a lot these days. :(
