1) the SATA disk, does it need another cable for the power or any simple ide power cable(from the psu) will do?

2)On the ASUS P4P800 board, should i enable Ai Overclocking at 30% or not?

3)Should i dirctly update the bios of my mobo or not? That is,before i install windows for the first time?

4)Should i do a quick ntfs format through the winXP cd or a complete one?

5)What about partitions? Im not that good with fdisk, will partition magic be ok? As good as fdisk?

thats most of it...plz add anything u can(and u are sure of it) fast.

Isn't it time for you to make some decisions of your own? Really now.

1. I believe that there is a power adapter for SATA drives, but most have the standard Molex connector too.

2. Go ahead and try it.

3. Always.

4. Complete on first install - always.

5. You don't need either. Use XP setup. Select the amount that you want when you create the partitions. Partition Magic is faster though.
