Weird one

Got Windows XP... Turn on the machine and goes to screen where asks "boot in safe mode, ..." yada yada yada...

Boot normally = Windows goes in scandisk and reeboots after 15%
Boot in safe mode = same as above
Boot in safe mode with network support = same as above
Boot in safe mode with prompt = well... you get the picture...

Anyway I boot, it just rebots and reboots and reboots... What could be the problem?????

Tried to reconstruct the registry, still does the same thing...

did you try running a diagnostic on your hard drive? you can download the program from the manufacturer's website.

if the drive is good, you can try to do a repair installation. boot from the xp cd and do a normal installation. it will come to a point where it asks if you want to repair the current install.
