I have an Inland cordless mouse (rf) that doesn't get recognized on a cold boot but works fine on a warm boot. I had 2 older k7s5a boards that acted the same way. This mouse is a ps/2 mouse so I thought I may have burned out (both boards)the 5V. side by unplugging then plugging it back in. Works great on 3 other computers. I have completly removed mouse from device manager and let Windows find it. Only on a SECOND WARM BOOT does it find it and install the default mouse. It doesn't take any special drivers Win98se. I just bought a k7s5a pro board yesterday and this is acting the same way. I downloaded the drivers (not needed says Inland) but all that does is offer wheel scroll options, like Tweak UI. Anyone have this problem? ....something I'm missing?

not alot to offer in terms of technical advice, but obviously it's repeatable and only applies to the k7s5a boards you're buying - some of the reviews I saw said they can be quirky....

time is, after all, worth money - even if you only earn minimum wage - which you don't - why screw around when a cordless mouse can be had for as little as $15-25, unless you're nowhere near a decent computer retailer??

even if you figure out what's up (you might check device manager and your BIOS settings) it probably ain't worth messing with :t
